Rio
After a long flight from London we eventually landed in Rio to be greeted by torrential rain. The streets were flooded and people were walking knee deep in water. As a result the traffic was so bad that it took over 2 hours for a bus to turn up and another 2 hours for us to make the 25km journey from the airport to Copacabana. We were told at the hotel that it started raining the day before we arrived and that typically the rain last for 4 days, so it should clear …. shortly after we leave. So far it’s not stopped even for a minute and the visibility is so bad that you can’t even see the Sugar Loaf or the Corcovado.
On Saturday were leaving for Isla Grande to see the best beach in Brazil. Hopefully the weather will improve.

Hey guys
Glad you have made it ... We have been through the house and the garage sale is on Saturday - where do you want the money wired to? Shame about the weather, but the beach sounds awesome - Is mike going to be able to sit still to enjoy it and have a rest? I think not, those running shoes will make an appearance - at least there are no elephants!!

Hello there
Even with that weather it seems from the photos that you enjoy the holidays. Funny that Mike put that weight. I wonder whether he will start running or just enjoy the beautiful beach in Brazil!! They are right that at least there are no elephants!! Just don't let him go near the Amazon!!!!!
Have fun
Daphne
Mike is very agitated and finds it hard staying in one place and comes with this crazy idea. Yesterday we did 14km hilly trekking because Mike though it would be more fun walkig for 5 hours than taking the boat to this secluded beach which just costed 3$.
Don't walk too much, don't want you burning off the extra half a stone too early!
The Cervelo is fine by the way...
Unfortunately the extra 1/2 stone is gone, and probably another 1/2 stone is gone too...
Good that the cervelo is fine, my ar** hurts from the rental bike today...
